Girls from Troop 2780 ventured to AT&T for a STEM experience! The girls learned about advancing technology and had hands-experience with the staff. The experience allowed girls to learn coding and an opportunity to build mini traffic lights that they could control.
The girls were also a part of a skype session with employee from Texas! The program was guided by mentors who explained benefits of STEM and it’s promising future. They also encouraged the girls to pursue STEM and to not let the career field intimate them.
The troop really enjoyed the program, even the leaders saw great value amidst the fun the girls were having.
One troop leader said “This is one of the moments I love because, you never know who you will meet, what you will learn, or where you will go in Girl Scouts.”
