Today is more than Halloween for the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. It is the day we celebrate the birthday of Girl Scouts' founder, Juliette Gordon Low, born October 31, 1860, in Savannah, Georgia.
It’s fitting that Juliette’s birthday coincides with what many call the most creative, imaginative and fun day of the year. She was the original visionary - someone who dreamed about what was possible and took action to bring it to life.
Juliette’s incredible vision lives on, not only in Monmouth and Ocean counties, but around the world. We see Juliette's impact every day as we develop girls into tomorrow’s leaders. Today, we honor Juliette's memory and celebrate her birthday by not only imagining who we want to be - today and in the future - but also by pledging to turn girls' dreams into reality.
Today, we’re asking you to give a gift in honor of the legacy Juliette created. Ensure today’s Girl Scouts can continue to learn and follow Juliette's example by helping them discover who they are and what they can accomplish, while connecting with other girls.
Thank you for your ongoing support of Girl Scouts. We appreciate everything that you do to support us and how you ensure every girl has the opportunity to grow their courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place.
PS: As a gift to you, every donor who gives $25 or more will receive the council's new Annual Giving "LOVE" patch. Every Girl Scout leader who gives $100 or more will become a Platinum Leader.
