OceanFirst Web (960x420)

Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore accepted a $3,500 grant from the OceanFirst Foundation during a presentation at its Program Activity Center in Farmingdale, Tuesday, April 27. The grant will be used to provide need-based camp scholarships to girls in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Camp Amity Acres in Waretown and Camp Sacajawea in Farmingdale offer girls, ages 3-15, the space to discover a strong sense of self, gain practical life skills, become resourceful problem solvers, and cultivate healthy relationships.

Children need camp more than ever for their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Accommodations have been made at both Girl Scout camp locations to ensure the health and well-being of all campers, families, and staff while upholding the council’s standard of quality care and outdoor fun!
