Local Financial Assistance
Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore provides a variety of financial assistance programs to help all members of limited financial means participate in Girl Scout activities. For more information on these programs, please contact the council.
Girl Scouts is open to all girls and adults, regardless of their income. We make funds available to support members or those seeking membership to Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore by providing supplemental resources beyond a family’s ability to pay.
Please remember that participation in the GSJS Product Sales - Fall and Cookie Season - is a requirement for receiving financial assistance. Participation is also a great way to supplement any additional financial responsibility that may arise from your participation in Girl Scouts.

National Financial Assistance
In addition, GSUSA has compiled a list of universities/colleges, foundations and Girl Scout councils that offer scholarships, awards, and grants to Girl Scouts. Many of the universities and foundations base their scholarships on receipt of the Gold Award and, of course, registration in that college or university.

Camp Financial Assistance
Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore believes ALL girls should experience the magic of summer camp. Financial Assistance is available for those who qualify.
Financial assistance is available only to currently registered Girl Scouts in Kindergarten and above. Proof of need is required. Assistance is intended to help families with the cost of full-week camp sessions and extended care, if applicable. Please note: Financial assistance is not available for boys, Fireflies, shortened camp weeks, specialty camps, or any add-on programs. Please Note: If you have applied for financial assistance, your application has been placed on our waitlist. A member of our team is currently reviewing your submission and will contact you shortly with a decision.
Discount offers may not be combined and are only applicable when you register for full weeks of camp.
