Amazing Women in History: Maya Angelou - Self-Guided Patch Program This self-guided Girl Scout program invites girls to discover the powerful voice and inspiring life of Maya Angelou-poet, performer, author, and advocate for courage and compassion. Through creative activities and stories, girls will learn how Maya used her words to uplift others, speak truth, and spark change. Girls can move through the program at their own pace as they explore themes of resilience, identity, and the power of telling your own story. Participants are also invited to join an optional Zoom session on April 9th, where girls can share their writing or favorite discoveries, discuss Maya's lasting impact, and connect with others who were inspired by her strength and wisdom. To begin your self-guided journey, register for the program and, once final, you will receive a PDF download of your activities. Patches will be mailed to all registrants.
A zoom link will be sent that week for all who would like to attend the zoom option on April 9th. Be sure to register for other programs in the series to continue exploring more Amazing Women in History!
