Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors, learn to drone! You'll learn how a drone operates and get the chance to feel like a drone pilot in this course! The course will begin with a brief history of drones. Then, we'll get into the weather conditions needed to fly the drone safely and legally and talk about how to operate a drone controller. The second part of the course will have you feeling like a pilot! Strap on a headset and see what the drone sees as it flies in the sky. Or, take a turn with the drone controller for some basic movements!

Drone fun patch included in youth fee. This CSA-level program is also open to 5th grade Juniors bridging to Cadettes in September 2026.This program is intended for girl participants only. Attendance requires an adult chaperone for each group or individual, who must register to meet required girltoadult supervision ratios in alignment with Safety Activity Checkpoints. Adult registration is complimentary, and all attending adults must adhere to GSJS policies and procedures.

Non-members can register and try out this program and experience Girl Scouts in a fun way. Once you have seen a small glimpse of what your future Girl Scout can learn and experience, head on over to gsfun.org/join and register her as an official Girl Scout!
