Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors! Learn how the world of camping relates to STEM by exploring the science of fire, technology of water filtration, engineering of tarp shelters, and math in navigation. We'll learn how to build a fire with and without matches, experiment with water filtration, take tarps into a new dimension and learn to tie knots, and how to create a simple scavenger hunt for our Girl Scout friends using a compass.
Survival Skills fun patch included in youth fee. This program is intended for girl participants only. Attendance requires an adult chaperone for each group or individual, who must register to meet required girltoadult supervision ratios in alignment with Safety Activity Checkpoints. Adult registration is complimentary, and all attending adults must adhere to GSJS policies and procedures.
