Seniors and Ambassador Girl Scouts are invited to receive American Red Cross First Aid and CPR Training. Girls will need to complete an online portion of the training before attending the in-person training. Instructions will be sent upon registration. Adults will need to send information into the council 2 weeks prior to the course. Each girl will need her own email address (not a school email) along with a phone number, for the facilitator to create an account for her on the American Red Cross site. This email will be used by each girl to get her certificate and for all other courses she may take with the ARC. If girls don't have an email address, some adults create one just for this course as the certificate will be emailed. Please email Penny at pshank@GSFun.org at council with the girls first name, last name, phone number, and email address for each participant.
Through this training girls will gain the knowledge, confidence, and understanding of the steps for performing First Aid and CPR correctly on teens, adults, children, and babies, and deliver care in a wide range of scenarios. Girls will receive the First Aid badge and will become certified by the American Red Cross.
