Junior and Cadette level Girl Scouts will be walked through a history of the women's suffrage movement, be exposed to folk music and slogans that were used to peacefully advocate for women's right to vote. They will even try their hand at writing their own folk song and slogan. After they have become familiar with the movement, they will be able to relate this moment in history to lines in the Girl Scout Law and have a sense of how important this was for women's history in this country.
Adult chaperones should also register for this event to meet Safety Activity Checkpoints youth to adult ratios. There is no cost for adult registration. All adults attending must comply with GSJS's policies and procedures.
