Get ready for a tail-wagging experience filled with kindness, courage, and connection!  Girls will meet two certified therapy dogs and their dedicated handlers: Indy, a friendly Golden Retriever, whose owner Susie proudly served as a Girl Scout leader for 13 years and Lucca, a lovable therapy dog and "author," who participates in special book signings and other events. Girls will learn what therapy dogs do, how they are trained, how to approach and interact with dogs and be able to ask questions directly to their handlers.  Girls will have time to gently pet, connect with, and show appreciation to these amazing canine community helpers.

This program is designed for troops or individuals with an adult chaperone. Adult chaperones should also register for this event to meet Safety Activity Checkpoints youth to adult ratios. There is no cost for adult registration. All adults attending must comply with GSJS's policies and procedures.

This program is open to Pre-K Sprouts moving on to Daisies in October 2026.
