Come prepared for a day packed with exciting hands-on activities and stage shows as you learn directly from women and girls in STEM at this STEM Fest powered by Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore! There is something for the whole family:
- Watch GSJS's own robotics team, the TranSisters, in action as they showcase robots built by Girl Scouts themselves and learn more about what it takes to program a robot to do what the user needs!
- Be an active audience participant in the special stage show featuring Mad Science. Learn about temperature differentials as you explore dry ice and watch the magic of science happen!
- Try new things and ask questions as you complete hands-on activities and learn about lesser-known career avenues in STEM. Learn from mechanical engineers, data analysts, audiologists, environmentalists and more!
Special STEM Fest fun patch and STEM fun packet included in youth event registration. Participants will receive a wristband at the door so they can come and go freely. We recommend checking out nearby restaurants or bringing a bagged lunch to eat at the event. STEM Fest will take place at Georgian Court University.
This program is designed for troops, individuals, and families. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Adult chaperones should also register for this event to meet Safety Activity Checkpoints youth to adult ratios. All adults attending must comply with GSJS's policies and procedures.
