Camp Amity Acres give girls the space to learn and think outside the box! Located close to the Garden State Parkway in Waretown/Barnegat, New Jersey, Camp Amity Acres is open in the summer for camp days that are in operation from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Extended Care is offered from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Camp Amity Acres is open to all girls, ages 3-15, and boys, ages 3-12.

Camp Sacajawea is a great place for a girl to unlock her full potential and discover all the outdoor adventures that await her! Located on 144 wooded acres in Farmingdale, New Jersey, Camp Sacajawea is open in the summer for camp days that are in operation from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. There is no job better than working at summer camp! Both Camp Amity Acres and Camp Sacajawea are now hiring for the 2026 season for various positions (i.e. Lifeguards, Counselors, Activity Specialist, and more), training and certifications offered. 

Get outdoors this summer and help campers experience new adventures, and build friendships. Camp experiences offer incredible skill-building and leadership opportunities, allowing you to learn and develop talents that will enhance your job marketability.

2026 Summer Schedule

Basic Camp: It’s not basic; it’s extraordinary! Girls entering (K-8) are invited to enjoy a full outdoor experience filled with a variety of age-appropriate fun and exciting activities. Full week (5-day), 4-day, and 3-day options are available!

Fireflies: Boys & girls (ages 3 & 4) light up camp with their excitement and enthusiasm as they enjoy a fun-filled outdoor experience designed just for them! Full week (5-day), 4-day, and 3-day options are available!

Boys Camp: Together in our boys unit, boys (ages 5-12) are invited to enjoy a full-week, outdoor experience filled with a variety of age-appropriate fun and exciting activities. Full week (5-day), 4-day, and 3-day options are available!

Specialty Experiences: Available for grades ranging from K-8, specialty experiences are offered certain weeks of camp to add even more fun! Experiences include cooking, robotics, arts & crafts, and more. Campers enrolled will enjoy a half day of Basic Camp activities and a half day of the Specialty. There is no need to add Basic Camp as well as the Specialty Camp Experience in the same week of the same child.

3-Night Stay: For girls entering grades 4+; begin a traditional day in camp on Monday and return Tuesday with an overnight bag, to spend the next three nights with friends and staff in our beautiful camps.

Camp Program Aid (CPA) Leadership Experience: Take part in this two-week CPA Training as the first step to becoming a future counselor. This is a progression-based experience that teaches outdoor skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution.

Camp Amity Acres or Camp Sacajawea | Weeks 4 & 5 | July 7-18

Camp Program Aid (CPA) Mentorship:  Girls who complete their 2026 CPA Leadership Experience are eligible to apply for up to two weeks of mentoring this summer. Those who completed the program in previous years (2024-2025) may apply for up to three weeks.

Week 1| June 22-26*

  • Passport to Adventure | Travel the world without ever leaving camp! Explore new countries and continents by experiencing their games, traditional art, music, and food.

*Camp begins June 24th for Camp Sacajawea; enjoy a shortened week of 3 days in camp.

Week 2 | June 29 - July 2**

  • '76 to '26- a Celebration of Our Nation | Party Like It's 1776! A week-long patriotic birthday bash celebrating the nation's anniversary.

**Camp closed July 4th, enjoy a shortened week of 3 or 4 days in camp.

Week 3 | July 6 – 10

  • Legends of Lost Treasures | X Marks the Spot! Grab your compass and map; become daring adventurers and clever codebreakers hunt for hidden riches and lost legends.
  • Specialty Experiences | Picasso's Palate | Explore the colorful world of art! Campers will sample a full palate of artistic expression, trying a different medium each day: painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media. Inspired by famous artists, they’ll try out bold brushstrokes, playful textures, and imaginative designs.

Week 4 | July 13 – 17

  • Stay for a Spell | Spellbinding wonders await! Enter a world of magic and mystery where broomsticks fly, potions bubble, and spells spark imagination. Grab your cloaks and wands!
  • CPA Leadership Experience (Week 1 of 2)

Week 5 | July 20 – 24

  • Let's Glow | Neon outfits and fluorescent fun! Get ready for a burst of bold colors and electrifying reactions leading to a full-volume party!
  • 3 Night-Stay (Grades 4+)
  • CPA Leadership Experience (Week 2 of 2)

Week 6 | July 27 – 31

  • Make a Splash | Dive into the wide world of water! From the ocean deep to our local lakes, we'll explore all its forms and the creatures that call it home. Get ready a swimmingly good time!
  • Specialty Experiences | Curiosity Quest Curious minds will STEAM through plenty of messy, hands-on experiments, fizzing chemical reactions, and creative engineering challenges, all while using the Scientific Method.

Week 7 | August 3 – 7

  • Wicked & Wonderful | Disney's heroes and villains meet at camp this week to inspire teamwork and creativity, encouraging each unique character to shine.

Week 8 | August 10 – 14

  • Paleontology Pioneers | A dino-mite adventure through time! Campers will stomp, chomp, and explore all week with dinosaur games and caveman crafts.

Week 9 | August 17 – 21

  • Big Top Bonanza | Step right up! The circus is back in town, and you're the star! Grab a ticket for a week of acrobatic skills, classic carnival games, favorite snacks, and country art.
  • Specialty Experiences | Thrills of the Theater Step into the spotlight and sharpen your performance skills in acting, movement, and stagecraft, culminating in a full performance for family and friends.

Week 10 | August 24 – 28

  • Aloha to Summer | It's a tropical twist to close out summer! Join us for beach party fun with leis and Hawaiian shirts to savor our last few days before we say "Aloha!"

Older Girl Leadership Opportunities

For girls entering 8th grade and above, leadership experiences are available during specific weeks of camp.

Camp Program Aide (CPA) Leadership Experience

Take part in this two-week CPA leadership training, including the first steps toward becoming camp staff. This is a progression-based experience that includes learning outdoor skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

Camp Program Aide (CPA) Mentorship*

Returning CPAs are eligible to share their leadership and outdoor skills with younger campers under the guidance of experienced camp staff. Must apply at gsFun.org/careers.

*Prerequisite: Must have successfully completed the CPA Leadership Experience two-week session prior to applying.

Volunteer Opportunities

Roll up your sleeves and help us keep our camps in tip-top shape! We’ll rake leaves, clean out tents, and more! Bring your backyard tools; we’ll serve up hotdogs and snacks! All are welcome; girls will earn a Fun Patch and service hours.

Tree Promise

Join us as we keep our commitment to GSUSA’s Tree Promise and conservation efforts as we plant hundreds of trees in camp. We’ll have hot dogs over the fire for all who come to help plant trees. Bring your shovel and gardening gloves.
