Celebrating 250 Years of the USA and Some Amazing Women - for ALL LEVELS

Saturday May 2, 2026 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Get ready to celebrate, explore, and be inspired as we mark 250 years of the United States by honoring some truly Amazing Women who helped shape our history!

Girls will dive into hands-on activities and exciting challenges as they learn about trailblazers like Wilma Mankiller, Bessie Coleman, Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton, and Shirley Chisholm - women who broke barriers, lifted others, and changed the future.

Participants will experience history in action through engaging stations featuring Native American culture exploration, an interactive scavenger hunt and creative activities that bring these inspiring stories to life.  Along the way, girls will discover how courage, leadership, and determination can make a difference - then connect those lessons to their own power to shape the future. 

Girls will receive custom Amazing Women in History fun patches throughout the journey for all 4 Amazing Women!

This isn't just a history program - it's a celebration of bravery, voices, and possibilities.

Wednesday June 24, 2026 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM | Farmingdale, NJ

Celebrate America's 250th with fireworks, STEAM style! We'll make firework art to wave and wear at the parade, then conduct an explosive experiment! 250 Years fun patch and DIY bandana included in youth and adult registration fee. 

Non-members can register and try out this program and experience Girl Scouts in a fun way. Girl Scout members enjoy special member-only pricing on our programs - and even MORE opportunities to explore!

**Camp closed July 4th, enjoy a shortened week of 3 or 4 days in camp.

On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.

America250 invites everyone to take part in this national commemoration — through local events, shared experiences, and opportunities to reflect on the country’s past and future.
