Manasquan Bank Partners with GSJS for Women's History Month Essay Contest
In celebration of Women’s History Month, GSJS is hosting an essay contest for Girl Scout Brownies and above, sponsored by Manasquan Bank. From March 8th through March 22nd girls can submit their own written essay about diversity, equity, and inclusion for a chance to win a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize!
The requirements:
- Essay Topic: The 2024 National Women’s History Month theme is “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion”. Write an essay about what Equity, Diversity and Inclusion means to you and why it is so important to embrace everyone and exclude no one in our quest for freedom and opportunity. Include how you think that being in Girl Scouts shows DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging).
- Submission Dates: March 8, 2024 - March 22, 2024

Word Count Requirements:
- Brownies & Juniors (word count 250 - 500)
- Cadettes (word count 500 - 1000)
- Seniors & Ambassadors (word count 500 - 1000)

Prizes: For each category there will be a 1st,
2nd and 3rd place winner. The prize will be a
credit that can be used for GSJS travel, camp, or programs.
- 1st - $500
- 2nd - $250
- 3rd - $125
- Manasquan Bank W.I.L.D. (Women Inspired Leadership Development) Committee will vote and choose winners.
- Winners to be announced on March 29, 2024.
