Media Girls

Hi, my name is Marisa! I’m 9 years old and in fourth grade. I’m a Girl Scout Junior this year and I’ve been a Girl Scout ever since I was in first grade as a Daisy. My favorite subject in school is science. I do also love learning about history too.

I love to read a good story and I also like creating my own books too right at home on my computer and then print them out!

I also like to go bowling too! My troop and I had a fun bowling party to celebrate from bridging from Brownie to Junior scouts!

The best part about being a Girl Scout is we always get to do something fun all together, like helping create our own fall festival, where other troops from our town got together, and older scouts too like Cadets, Seniors and Ambassadors and we played games and made crafts and we helped our town too by donating food to our local pantry for this upcoming Thanksgiving!

And I have to mention I also have a pet cat named Lucky! He’s all black and super cute and lovable. My dad and I rescued him when he was just a kitten and I love taking care of him, we actually have a cat stroller I can put him in and take him for a walk to the park, he’s so much fun! I also have another cat named Honey and dog named Chase and fish too.

Jennevieve has been a proud member of troop 1455 for 9 years. She has two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, named Penny and Piper. She also has a leopard gecko, named Mayllie (May-Lee) Anna. She is currently in 9th grade.

Jennevieve is part of many clubs and activities such as her school’s Service and Leadership Academy, Environmental Club, DECA Club, the Mock Trial Team, Model UN, and so many more! When she graduates from high school, she hopes to attend John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and work towards her doctorate degree in Forensic Psychology. Her wish is to one day become a Forensic Psychologist or FBI Criminologist, and work to create a safe community for all.

She strives to be a kind and contributing member of the community, jumping at any chance to volunteer or help in any way to create a fun and safe environment within her town. In the past, she has worked to achieve her Bronze Award, and has recently earned her Silver Award, with the planning stage already in motion for her Gold.  Through these projects and my many volunteer hours, she has made a positive dent in her community, and hopes to continue to do so through her involvement in the Girl Scout Delegates, and the Media Girls. Thank you for your support!

My name is Audrina, and I am in fourth grade.  I am a Girl Scout Junior and I love being creative through music, dance and art.  I am the younger sister to a Girl Scout Cadette, and I have two small dogs named Tinkerbell and Bambi.  I love to travel and explore different countries with my family. I like to stay active by playing Squash with my sister.  I have played piano since I was 5 years old, and I love to express myself through music and dance.  I fell in love with Girl Scouts not just because of the cookies, but because I saw how many fun and different activities they get to do.  I also wanted to be around girls that support and inspire each other.  I am excited to meet new people and have the chance to give back to my community.
My name is Victoria King and I have been in Girl Scout troop 50249 since I was in Kindergarten. I have done so many things for and with Girl Scouts. I participate in troop meetings, do every cookie sale and nuts and candy sales, and I have been on many trips with my troop. My favorites have been going to different camps and to museums. My mom is co-leader of my troop so I helped out a lot with our meetings and I’ve helped plan some meetings. This year my troop is running World Thinking Day and we're all planning and doing different things together to make this an amazing World Thinking Day. For my Bronze award, my troop made a video for our town's 50th anniversary. We were honored by the town and the school district for our work on this project. I am planning to do my silver and gold awards in the next few years.

Leena is a Sophomore and has been an enthusiastic Girl Scout since first grade. As a Brownie, she worked with her troop to create Fear the Foam, a program that temporarily removed styrofoam from the cafeteria at her Elementary School and replaced it with an eco-friendly alternative. As a Junior, she spearheaded a Bronze Award project with other troop members that designed a fun and educational “sensory nook” within two special needs classrooms at an Elementary School. During middle school, she initiated her own Silver Award Project titled ReBook, ReRead, ReImagine which increased access to books and interest in reading to address inequities in childhood literacy.

Outside of Girl Scouts, Leena is a cellist and enjoys dancing bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance style.

Within school, Leena is an editor for the school newspaper, captain of the debate team, and very involved in the school community.

Leena is the co-founder and co-host of Dear Little Sisters, a podcast aimed to empower girls by sharing the stories of inspiring women. She has connected with guests all over the world from very diverse industries and career fields. She is a co-lead of STEMpowering, an Initiative to involve children in all communities in STEM.

In her free time, Leena enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves being outside and going to the beach.

Hello! I am Carol, A Junior in Troop 60338. This is my 5th year of Girl Scouts. I am also currently a 5th grader! I am hoping to work on some journalism pieces and maybe try out photography!

With my Girl Scout Troop I have done Spooktacular, Some American Girl Doll events, first aid, and many more! One of my favorite things I have done with my troop was meeting and petting rescued wolves!

Outside of Girl Scouts I like to hang out with my family and friends, do cheerleading on my competitive AYF cheer team, and draw!
