Farmingdale, NJ, November 28, 2024 – Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore is excited to announce the appointment of new members to the organization’s Board of Directors. These dynamic leaders bring a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to empowering young girls and shaping the next generation of community leaders.
New Members-At-Large for 2024-2026:
- Diane Lee Brock, Neptune – A retired U.S. Department of Defense finance professional, Diane is committed to service and community leadership. Diane has served as President of the Monmouth County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and is a Life Member of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. Currently, she is Trustee and Treasurer at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Red Bank and a Board Trustee for The Center in Asbury Park, supporting those living with HIV/AIDS.
- Jan Kirsten, Eatontown – Executive Director of College Relations at Ocean County College, Jan specializes in marketing, event planning, alumni relations, and strategic communications. Jan serves on several boards, including United Way of Monmouth Ocean County, the Greater Toms River Chamber, and 21 Plus. She chairs the Institutional Advancement Affinity Group for the New Jersey Council of County Colleges and sits on the District 1–NCMPR Executive Council. A dedicated volunteer, she has held leadership roles with the Howell Women’s Club and supports Bright & Beautiful Canine Hospice.
- Dr. Eboné M. Lawrence-Smith, Neptune – A dedicated educator and community advocate, Dr. Lawrence-Smith serves as a 4th-grade Literacy Teacher and Response-To-Intervention Tutor at Long Branch Public Schools, earning Teacher of the Year in 2019 for her engaging, inclusive instruction. Beyond teaching, she contributes to the district’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and the Parent Teacher Association. A graduate of Monmouth University's Social Justice Academy, she later served as an Instructional Consultant, empowering others to foster equity and change. She is active in organizations such as the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa and Jacob’s Ladder of Monmouth County, Inc.
- Kate Roselli, CFP®, – Vice President of Financial Planning at Newport Capital Group, Kate brings extensive experience in wealth management. Kate has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation. She received her Bachelor of Science in Employment Relations from Rutgers University in 2011. Kate is a former Girl Scout and is a member of the Silver and Gold Award Committee for the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore.
- Jenna Rosenfeld, Toms River – Coordinator of Employment and Industry Development at Ocean County Vocational Technical School, Jenna is passionate about aligning education with workforce needs and fostering mentorship opportunities for students and alumni. This year, she collaborated with Professional Women in Construction and Professional Women in Building to offer mentorship and networking opportunities for female students in construction trades. Previously, Jenna taught English at Jackson Memorial High School, where she also served as a teacher leader, head field hockey coach, softball coach, and yearbook co-advisor. She owns a health and wellness business, helping others simplify health and achieve personal growth. A sought-after speaker, Jenna focuses on leadership, mindset, and personal development, inspiring both entrepreneurs and students.
- Michele Wilson, Toms River – A Vice President at OceanFirst Bank, specializing in managing and expanding relationships with Government, Nonprofit, and Higher Education clients, Michele has more than three decades of experience in banking and financial leadership. Her team-building skills are complemented by her dedication to financial literacy, having led classes for adults and students, and volunteered with organizations like the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity. Passionate about the environment, Michele is a Master Gardener student and participant in the Rutgers Environmental Stewards program.

With these dedicated leaders guiding us, we are well-equipped to continue our mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make a lasting impact on the world.
